Zut!   Catherine Murphy taught French in Cardiff, UK, for 10 years and resigned last year in order to be able to spend more time to work on Zut.  Zut provides a comprehensive set of interactive activities for French teachers and learners, featuring more than 500 exercises, over 100 of which have audio samples of native French speakers. It is an easily navigated resource, organized for each year of study and also includes exercises for the interactive whiteboard.

Creating French Culture   This exhibit traces the history of this relationship from Charlemagne (b. 742?-d. 814) to Charles de Gaulle (b. 1890-d. 1970), through the prism of more than 200 magnificent "treasures" on loan from the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris.

French Literature and Storytelling

ABU : la  Bibliothèque  Universelle   Online French texts by French authors.

 

The ARTFL Project   In 1957 the French government initiated the creation of a new dictionary of the French language, the Trésor de la Langue Française. In order to provide access to a large body of word samples, it was decided to transcribe an extensive selection of French texts for use with a computer.  The result is a database containing nearly 2000 texts, ranging from classic works of French literature to various kinds of non-fiction prose and technical writing.  Also included is a Provençal database that includes 38 texts in their original spellings.

 

Francophone Literature of Louisiana   by Bibliothèque Tintamarre and Centenary College.  French and Creole texts are provided on this site as a legacy for Louisiana.
