"BAM!" is an e-zine for kids (ages 9-13) that answers their questions on health issues & recommends ways to make their bodies & minds healthier & stronger. For teachers, BAM! offers fun, interactive learning activities related to middle school health & science. Topics include physical activity & how infectious disease, asthma, safety, disability are related to physical activity.

LD Online: Kid Zone    Learning Disabilities Online has created a wonderful site for special needs students. There are lots of resources here!

Edbydesign   Activities specifically designed for the special needs younger child such as "Scrambler", "Automaths" and "Story teller". 

Fingerspelling   This Web site has a number of tools for novices and experts alike to help become proficient at finger spelling. For novices, there is a standard dictionary to learn the basic finger shapes.

The ICan! Online Network is a one-stop source for current news, events, topics for disabilities. Sports, where to shop, employment, health and fitness, travel and technology are covered in detail. Great resource for middle and high school students. 

Kid's Online Resources   Though this is not specifically designed for special needs children this is an excellent resource for homework help, entertainment, way cool games, fun & music.  

Learning Network   There are several activities for students with learning disabilities at this well-designed Web site. 

Elementary Focus

ADDA Kids Area  This Web site is designed for ADD / ADHD students in mind. There is another area called Creative Corner for students to post poetry, stories, artwork.

Berit’s Best Sites for Children  An Activity Center, Homework Help, Creatures Great and Small craft area and lots more make this a very interesting site for the younger student.

Exworthy Kid's Page The primary portion of this Web site has games, crosswords and other activities for younger students. 

PBS Kids Young Internet users can find their favorite Sesame Street or Teletubbies character here. 

Yuckiest Site on the Internet  Another appealing site with Wendell the worm as the host. Students will spend hours enjoying the educational games and content at this Web site.

Secondary Focus

B.J. Pinchbeck's Homework Helper  Organized into categories, this Web site, sponsored by Discovery.com,  contains 700 links found useful by "B.J." a fifteen-year old student.

Healthy Living Network: Fun, Games and Entertainment Many links to games and activities designed for the visually impaired student. 

Internet Public Library  The ultimate in a resource for students looking for information on any topic.
