Surfing the Web with EdGate: Getting the full experience with your Internet browser.
The suggested browser of choice for our site is Internet Explorer, the latest version my be downloaded at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp. Users may also choose to use the latest version of Netscape ( available at http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/default.jsp ), but our site is optimized for use with Internet Explorer. All browsers must be Java enabled. The site is viewable on all platforms (mac/pc). A browser plug-in is a piece of software that allows your browser to view special files, such as sound or animation. Some educational sites may use other, less common, plug-ins, but the list above should cover 99% of all the sites EdGate links to.
