 Utah Curriculum Matrix Summary - Utah Core Assessment Series – End-of-Level Test, 2nd Edition

 High, Medium, Low Designations

Reading/Language Arts

5th Grade

A High designation was given to the Objective and Indicators if the “Number of Items Assessing Objective” was greater than 2.  A Medium designation was given to the Objective and Indicators if the “Number of Items Assessing Objective” was 1 or 2.  A Low designation was given if the “Number of Items Assessing Objective” was 0.

8th and 11th Grade Test Match not available at this time.

Mathematics

Blueprint 5th and 7th Grade

A High designation was given to the Objectives if the content standard’s distribution of test items percentage greater than 14%.  A Medium designation was given if  the percentage was 1 – 14%.  No Low designation was given.

Math Curriculum / Test Match (End-of-Level Test, 2nd Edition)

5th Grade

A High designation was given to the Objectives if the content standard “Number of Items” assessed was greater than 2.  A Medium designation was given if 1 or 2 assessment items were matched.  A Low designation was given if no assessment items were matched to the content standard.

8th and Intermediate Algebra (11th Grade)

A High designation was given to the Objectives if the content standard was identified as being assessed with a “Yes.”  A Low designation was given the content standard was identified as not being assessed.  No Medium designations were given.

Science

5th Grade

A High designation was given to the Objective is the “Number of Items Assessing Objective” was greater than 2.  A Medium designation was given if the Objective matched to test 1 or 2 times.  No Low designations were given
