South Carolina Curriculum Matrix Summary - PACT High, Medium, Low Designations 

Reading/English Language Arts

 If the approximate percentage of test item points in a content area was 35% or more, a High designation was given.  If the percentage was 1% to 34%, a Medium designation was given.  A Low designation was given if the content area had 0% of test item points.

Mathematics

 If the approximate percentage of test item points in a content area was 17% or more, a High designation was given.  If the percentage was 1% to 16%, a Medium designation was given.  A Low designation was given if the content area had 0% of test item points.

Science

 Not tested.  Science Exit Exam will be administered to 10th graders in spring 2002.
