State and Regents Examinations High, Medium, and Low
Designations 

English Language Arts

If the learning standard aligned with 2 or more multiple-choice assessment items and/or 1 or more essay assessment item, it was given a High designation. If the learning standard aligned with 1 multiple-choice assessment item, it was given a Medium designation. If the learning standard did not align to an assessment item it was given a Low designation.

Mathematics

If the learning standard (Key Idea) aligned with 2 or more assessment items, it was given a High designation. If the learning standard aligned with 1 assessment item, it was given a Medium designation. If the learning standard did not align to an assessment item, it was given a Low designation.

Science
