 Missouri Curriculum Matrix Summary - MAP High, Medium, Low Designation

Communications Arts

A High designation was given if the Assessment Notes column in Assessment Annotations indicated that the benchmark was appropriate for state testing.

A Medium designation was given to two benchmarks (9-12) because the Assessment Notes column in Assessment Annotations indicated that part of the benchmark was appropriate for state testing and part of the benchmark was “local assessment.”

A Low designation was given if the Assessment Notes column in Assessment Annotations indicated that the benchmark was identified as “local assessment” or “beyond grade level.”

Mathematics 

A High designation was given if the Assessment Notes column in Assessment Annotations indicated that the benchmark was appropriate for state testing.

A Low designation was given if the Assessment Notes column in Assessment Annotations indicated that the benchmark was identified as “local assessment” or “beyond grade level.”

Science 

A High designation was given if the Assessment Notes column in Assessment Annotations indicated that the benchmark was appropriate for state testing.

 A Medium designation was given to 11 benchmarks (10 at grade 3 test and 1at grade 7 test) because the Assessment Notes column in Assessment Annotations indicated that part of the benchmark was appropriate for state testing and part of the benchmark was “local assessment.”

 A Low designation was given if the Assessment Notes column in Assessment Annotations indicated that the benchmark was identified as “local assessment” or “beyond grade level.”
