  Indiana Curriculum Matrix Summary: ISTEP + High, Medium, Low Designations

 

Reading

A High, Medium, or Low designation was given (grades 3, 6, 8 and 10) if the standard aligned to the ISTEP + :

16 or more point value = High, 1 to 15 point values = Medium, 0 = Low

Writing

A High, Medium, or Low designation was given (grades 3, 6, 8, 10) if the standard aligned to the ISTEP +

16 or more point value = High, 1 to 15  point values = Medium, 0 = Low

In addition the writing rubrics and state writing standards were reviewed as they aligned to ISTEP. 

Mathematics

A High, Medium, or Low designation was given (grades 3, 6, 8, and Algebra I)if the standard aligned to the ISTEP + :

10 or more point value = High, 1 to 9 point value = Medium, 0 = Low.
