 English/ Language Arts (i.e. reading and writing) - Grades 3,5, 8, and 10
 Mathematics - Grades 3,5, 8, and 10
 Science - Grades 4, 6, 8 and 11
 Social studies - Grades 4,6, 8 and 11
The items on the DSTP come from two sources: The Stanford Achievement Series, 9 th edition (SAT9) and Delaware teachers. Groups of Delaware educators, parents, and community representatives familiar with the state's content standards have spent the last several years creating and field-testing items designed to measure progress toward the standards. These items are used to assess reading, mathematics, and writing.
