State Assessments:

Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT), Grades 4, 6, 8, English Language Arts and Mathematics

Science is not tested on the state Mastery tests. The CT Academy at http://www.ctacad.org/, which was established through SSI funding from NSF, has developed performance Science assessments that schools can purchase to monitor their science program. These tests are not designed to provide individual student scores, but rather aggregates that show strengths and weaknesses in a school’s science curriculum.

Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT), High School; administered in Grade 10, English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science
